New COVID-19 Clinic Procedures

As the COVID-19 situation continually evolves, it is our clinic's responsibility to stay informed with all updates from our college and Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health.  Hence, the following information may change accordingly.  Each clinic location has a different procedure as the staff and types of practitioners vary at each clinic.  Overall, patient visits will be staggered to minimize patient overlap.  Doctors and staff will be wearing a mask at all times (when physical distancing is less than 2 meters).  Gloves will be worn for all patient contact.

Airdrie Location:

  • Please text or call Liona (587-280-9888) when you arrive for your appointment.
  • Liona will tell you when you can come into the clinic as no seating will be available in the waiting area.  Please wait in your vehicle until you can come in.
  • There will be tape on the floor marking 2 meter distances for you to stand if you have to wait.
  • You will be screened before you can enter.  You are also required to pre-screen yourself prior to your appointment online or on the phone (this is mandatory by our college).
  • Once you have been screened, please wash your hands with soap and water.
  • Masks/Face coverings are MANDATORY.  Airdrie's mandatory face coverings bylaw makes wearing a mask or face covering mandatory in all public settings.
  • We request that the patient come alone for their visit (e.g. exceptions for those with mobility issues, communication issues, parents/guardians for minors).  Anyone accompanying the patient has to be screened as well.
  • Tables and chairs will have been disinfected prior to your appointment.  You will see the doctor disinfect medical equipment and assessment tools.
  • Anything the patient touches will be cleaned and disinfected between each patient.
  • Patients are encouraged to use tap for payment or etransfer.
  • Optional:  You may wash your hands or use hand sanitizer on your way out.
